Magnificat
A version of the magnificat, written from my purely secular position. A friend had requested a setting of these words for some time and eventually, after some initial reluctance this treatment resulted. It is intended to be sung by an unaccompanied Mixed Choir, without the conventional organ interludes, possibly as a concert performance..
This recording is of an informal performance given by the Bristol based amateur group Tapestry some time ago after just a short rehearsal and for which I am grateful. This group has sadly now disbanded and I would be happy to supply a score and parts to any choir willing to have a new look at these pieces
